Ed H. Boden Jr. began his love affair of photography with his
first camera while in high school in Campbell County, KY. His camera became the means of
support for Ed through college and graduate school. Even while teaching secondary school
the camera was kept busy helping its owner earn extra spending money.
Photography was a large part of his responsibilities when he
returned to Georgetown College as Assistant in Public Relations in 1962.
In 1970 E.H. Boden Photography opened the doors full-time.
In 1979 the location was moved to 140 E. Main in downtown Georgetown and on June 15,
1986 relocated to its current location at 2623 Frankfort Pike in the little red barn.
During those years Boden has been in professional organizations
serving as President of Kentucky Professional Photographers Association in 1970. He has won
awards with his photography at state, regional, and national levels. He holds the Kentucky
Fellowship Degree and has earned the National Photography Degree.
For four years he taught photojournalism classes at U of K and
has led seminars in England and Scotland. Locally he is a member of the Chamber of Commerce,
co-founder of the Habitat-for-Humanity in Scott Co., and charter member of Mallard Point
Baptist Church where he remains active.
Ed “officially” retired in 2000, but keeps busy two or more
days a week in the studio and that is why we changed the “unofficial” name to Boden &
Father...
